Why Electrolysis

Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal according to the FDA that continues to be the choice of hair removal among many generations. Arlene's Electrolysis performs this process so that you can feel better about the way you look.

About 80% of all women have excess hair that they have to maintain on a daily and weekly basis. Whether it is excess facial or body hair, this is brought on by changes in a women's cycle.

Puberty, pregnancy, and menopause are times during a woman's life that bring this unsightly hair. Medication, hormonal disorders, and genetics can all have a big impact on hair growth. Hair growth can also be encouraged by waxing and tweezing.

The Process

To treat each hair, we insert a very fine wire that is the same thickness of the hair into the hair follicle opening. There is no puncturing of the skin. The combination of the water in your body and the slight amount of electricity from the machine destroys the cells that are located in the bottom 2/3 of the follicle that help that hair to grow.

Every one of the cells in the follicle needs to be destroyed in order to eliminate that hair forever. The thinner the hair, the quicker it can be destroyed.
